The Boschendal Grande Syrah showcases a brilliant ruby color in the glass, enticing the senses with captivating aromas of fine spices and exotic fruits. Das Traubengut wurde von Hand gelesen und bei der Ankunft im Keller von Hand sortiert. Die Gärung erfolgte in Tanks aus Edelstahl und unter Zugabe speziell ausgewählter Rhône-Hefe bei einer Gärtemperatur zwischen 24-26 ° C. Der Wein wurde alle acht Stunden umgepumpt, um ein Maximum an Tanninen und Farbe zu extrahieren. Nach Abschluss der Fermentierung reifte der Boschendal Grande Syrah 14 Monate lang in 300 l sowie 500 l Eichenholzfässern, von denen 30 % Neuholz und der Rest zweit-, dritt- sowie viertbefülltes Holz ausmachten. Nach der Reifung wurden die verschiedenen Komponenten in einem 2500 l Fass verschnitten und die Cuvée verbrachte vor Abfüllung auf die Flasche noch weitere sechs Monate im Fass.
