Montegray Vineyards - Weingut in Stellenbosch, Südafrika

Montegray Vineyards is the latest venture of Rose Jordaan, owner of the Bartinney Private Cellars. The winery's award-winning and select portfolio is created from premium Stellenbosch and Banhoek vineyards. It includes varietal reds such as Montegray Syrah, Montegray Grenache and a Petit Verdot, as well as a Chenin Blanc and a white cuvée of Grenache Blanc and Roussanne.

The history of Montegray Vineyards began with the purchase of a small, very special Syrah vineyard in the Banhoek Valley in 2017, immediately followed by Rose Jordaan's search for other small vineyards, interesting grape varieties and special vineyards to express the diverse nature of the Cape region in her wines. The winery has made it its mission to produce wines of the highest calibre and distinction and with top oenologist Ronell Wiid of Bartinney Private Cellar, success was assured. As the first and only female oenologist to win the Diners Club Winemaker of the Year title, which she won in 1999 with a Shiraz cuvée, the passionate winemaker at Bartinney Winery also produces the wines for Montegray Vineyards and is also making a big impact in the wine world with this wine series!
