The Bosman Optenhorst Chenin Blanc 2024 showcases a delicate straw hue with golden reflections. This exquisite wine delights the senses with a blend of ripe apricots, nectarines, poached pear, hints of vanilla, and nutty almond brittle. Its wonderfully understated, creamy mouthfeel culminates in a lively and slightly mineral finish, providing a perfectly balanced tasting experience. Crafted from the third-oldest Chenin Blanc vineyard in South Africa, these vines date back to 1952.
The grapes for this esteemed Chenin were whole-bunch pressed, allowing the juice to rest overnight. The clear juice was then racked into French Louis Latour oak barrels of 228 liters for fermentation. Following the alcoholic fermentation, the wine aged for 12 months with regular stirring of the lees, enhancing mouthfeel and complexity.
