The Cederberg Five Generations Chenin Blanc is an award-winning and highly endowed top wine! Its seductive bouquet of honey, lime zest, roasted nuts and Mediterranean peach scent pampers the senses with underscoring hints of sweet vanilla. Treatment in the cellar

The grapes for this first-class Chenin Blanc were hand-picked in the early hours of the morning and upon arrival at the winery at a regulated 13 - 14°C, they were spontaneously vinified in French oak barrels. Spontaneous means that no commercial yeasts were added to the grapes for fermentation - only the yeasts found on the fruit and the environment started the fermentation process. The fermentation in the barrel lasted between 30 and 61 days. Once the alcoholic fermentation was completed, the wine matured for 10 months in French barriques, 33% of which were new wood, 33% second and 33% third. During the maturing process, the yeast was regularly stirred (batonnage) in order to transfer a fuller and more opulent mouthfeel to the wine.
