The La Bri Affinity 2021 captivates with its intense plum hue, unveiling an extraordinarily complex bouquet of ripe blackberries and a hint of spice. On the palate, this remarkable Bordeaux-style blend showcases a sumptuous fullness and velvety tannins. The finish is smooth, lingering with evocative notes of succulent dark fruits. Each component in this blend demonstrates a unique affinity, justifying the years skipped in crafting previous vintages (2018 and 2019). Vintage 2021 consists of: 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc.
Each of La Bri's wines is symbolically linked to a flower, represented on its label—the Geissorhiza radians (Wine Cup), with its striking deep blue petals and red center, epitomizes the essence of this core wine.
The various grape varieties in this blend were vinified and aged separately in French barriques (55% new wood). After 18 months of maturation, the classic Bordeaux varietals were blended and bottled.
