With its deep violet hue, the Lemberg Nelson Syrah captivates immediately, unfolding seductive aromas of ripe blackberries, a medley of herbs, and a hint of spicy licorice. The palate reveals firm yet remarkably elegant tannins that complement the deliciously layered flavors of dark berry fruit. This wine is marked by its elegance, possessing a beautiful weight and a long, dry finish that lingers enticingly.
The grapes were harvested in the early, cool morning hours and cooled to 4°C before being hand-sorted and destemmed. 10% of the fruit was left whole-cluster and fermented. After fermentation, the wine matured for ten months in new and second-use French barriques, bottled unfined and unfiltered.
