The Savage Never Been Asked To Dance 2024 reveals an extraordinary complexity in this vintage, showcasing aromas of crushed granite, flint, and wet stone, harmoniously intertwined with apple and hints of dried fynbos. On the palate, this Chenin Blanc exhibits a stunningly fresh and invigorating acidity, perfectly balancing the rich texture. With yeasty and waxy characteristics, it delights with notes of oatmeal and yellow peach, boasting a good weight complemented by a whisper of brioche. The hand-harvested grapes are sourced from over 40-year-old vines, vinified 70% whole bunch in closed stainless steel tanks. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine underwent malolactic fermentation in old French oak barrels of 500 liters each and matured for an additional ten months in larger oak barrels of 1500-2000 liters capacity.
