The Thelema Chardonnay 2023 unveils a radiant straw-yellow hue, reflecting its origins in the prestigious Stellenbosch region. Fermented and matured in French oak barrels, this vintage exhibits a beautifully balanced expression of Chardonnay. On the nose, alluring aromas of lemon zest and delicate white flowers evolve into subtle notes of stone fruit and roasted almonds on the palate. This medium-bodied wine is characterized by vibrant acidity and a refined mineral core, leading to a long, creamy finish with gentle oak integration.
Picked in the early morning, the grapes were destemmed, left on the skins overnight, and then pressed. The clear juice was aged for ten months in French oak barrels (35% new and the rest second and third fill), with bâtonnage performed for several months.
