The classic blend of the varietals Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot always excite the senses, and it is no different with the Alexander Megan! Named after the winemaker's daughter, this Stellenbosch rooted blend offers dark fruit and pencil shaving-aromatics alongside structured tannins, thanks to the granitic soils these vines thrive in. The nose reveals cassis, ripe plum, and cedar and on the palate, black cherry and graphite are complemented by savoury tannins and crisp acidity. It is a medium to full-bodied wine with notable persistence and a dry, refined finish.
This is a wine in which both the viticultural and winemaking parts of the process are well balanced and offer a wine for cellaring or if decanted, immediate drinking.
