The Alvi’s Drift 221 Chenin Blanc showcases a bright straw-yellow hue that invites the senses. Aromas of jasmine and white peach are beautifully complemented by hints of passion fruit. On the palate, these enticing fragrances persist, enhanced by a delicate touch of citrus blossom that delivers pure delight. A vibrant acidity harmonizes with the fruit characteristics, leading to a long, creamy finish that bursts with refreshing citrus notes.
This unique Chenin Blanc is crafted from the finest free-run juice. The blend consists of barrel-aged wine and fresh, crisp tank-fermented Chenin Blanc, with about 30% fermented on wild yeast and matured mainly in older French oak barrels, along with some new French acacia barrels to enhance complexity. The rest was fermented in stainless steel tanks, preserving the wine's vibrant fruit character.
