The Andreas Syrah 2021, with its deep ruby hue and pink rim, offers a sumptuous bouquet of ripe forest berries intertwined with enticing hints of fine spices, luscious cherries, and dried plums. Subtle notes of dark chocolate and coffee beans add complexity to the aromatic profile. On the palate, this wine strikes a harmonious balance, showcasing exquisite layers of red fruit, tart cherries, fragrant raspberries, delicate spices, and black pepper. The finish is fruit-forward, featuring an elegant acidity with impressive structure and body, making it a truly exceptional Syrah.
Mit viel Bedacht wurden die Trauben am frühen Morgen handgelesen und in den kühlen Keller transportiert. Dort wurde das beschädigte und verletzte Traubengut aussortiert, der Rest entrappt, gequetscht und in große Stahlfässer gepumpt. Hefe wurde zugesetzt und als die Fermentierung begann, wurde der Saft auf der Haut täglich drei bis vier Mal umgepumpt, um Farbe, Tannin und Geschmack zu extrahieren. Nach Beendigung der Gärung blieb der Wein weitere fünf bis acht Tage auf der Haut. Anschließend wurden Saft und Haut getrennt und die malolaktische Gärung fand im Holz statt. Der Wein durfte noch für 18 Monate in Barriques reifen.
