The Avondale Jonty’s Ducks Pekin White BIO 2022 captivates the senses with an enchanting bouquet reminiscent of delicate honey. On the palate, it reveals vibrant flavors of zesty lime, grapefruit, tropical pineapple, and subtle quince. This white blend boasts a rich medley of ripe fruit notes intertwined with hints of creamy Brie, delivering splendid intensity and freshness. The finish lingers enticingly, inviting another sip!
The grapes were pressed whole-bunch and left overnight in the tank. Fermentation was spontaneous, initiated by the naturally occurring yeast present on the fruit and in the environment. A portion was fermented in previously used 600-litre oak barrels. Both the tank-fermented and barrel-fermented components spent six to nine months on the lees, regularly stirred post-fermentation.
