First choice under its own label was no other grape variety than Pinotage, a true love story, if you will. But the cultivation and production of Pinotage is truly no child's play. Known as an incredibly tricky and complicated variety, Abrie Beeslaar sees this as a real challenge, which he takes on with great passion. After the release of the first vintage in 2012, the Beeslaar Pinotage has received a shower of prizes, awards and enthusiasm both locally and internationally.
After this first success, it was soon clear to Abrie that he had discovered the right terroir and one of the best sites for growing Pinotage. A very special and rewarding success story of this autochthonous grape variety!
