The Bellingham The Bernard Series Bushvine Pinotage is an exquisite showcase of South Africa's native varietal. This Pinotage highlights its elegant profile, revealing the character of red fruits inherited from its parent grapes, Pinot Noir and Cinsault. With a deep ruby hue adorned by violet reflections, it opens with generous aromas of black cherries, ripe mulberries, and raspberry jam. These are complemented by hints of plum pudding, smoked meat, and nuanced truffle notes, all beautifully integrated with oak in a long, juicy finish.
The Bernard Series pays homage to the determination and unconventional spirit of Bellingham's co-founder, Bernard Podlashuk.
Das handgelesene Traubengut von unbewässerten und ertragsarmen Buschreben wurde mit großer Sorgfalt für den weiteren Prozess ausgelesen und fermentierte anschließend in Tanks aus Edelstahl. Nach Abschluss der Gärung reifte der Wein 12 Monate lang in Eichenholz-Barriques, von denen 6 % Neuholz ausmachten.
