The Beyerskloof Diesel Pinotage 2023 is an exquisite expression of South Africa's flagship varietal. Showcasing a deep ruby hue, it enchants the senses with an aromatic bouquet of rich black currant and blackberry, intertwined with notes of ripe plum and cedar wood. This structured Pinotage delivers a profound palate experience, revealing layers of black fruit complexity that lead into a velvety finish accented by delightful chocolate nuances. Following malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine aged for 18 months in 100% new French oak barrels. After rigorous quality control, only 25 of 300 barrels were bottled, sourced from 23-year-old vines.
