The Beyerskloof Synergy Cape Blend 2023 is a remarkable expression of a meticulously crafted blend, showcasing the harmony of four grape varieties alongside distinct terroirs and microclimates. After an aging period of 14 months in French oak, it reveals an intense purplish-red hue with a ruby rim. This Cape Blend captivates with its generous Pinotage content (52%), presenting aromas of ripe berry fruits, dark cherries, sweet cedar, and enticing oak nuances. With an average vine age of 20-22 years, the palate is a concentrated fruit experience, revealing juicy tannins, seamlessly integrated wood notes, and a delicate balance between lush fruitiness and aromatic finesse. This wine epitomizes the best traits of Pinotage, beautifully complemented by a selection of varietals.

Treatment in the cellar

Extended skin contact at 26°C fosters the wine's vibrant purplish hue, complemented by regular punchdowns during fermentation. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine matured in 5% new French oak and 95% in second and third-fill barrels for 12 months.

This blend comprises 52% Pinotage, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 7% Shiraz.
