Due to staff absences caused by illness, our currently very popular winter clearance sale, and several newly arrived containers, we are unfortunately taking around 3 working days longer than usual to process your order at the moment.

We are doing our best to return to our usual delivery times as soon as possible, and we thank you very much for your understanding.

Information about "Beyerskloof Traildust Cape Blend 2024"

Ruby red in colour, Beyerskloof Traildust Cape Blend exudes an abundance of red fruit and ripe cherry aromas, which blend beautifully with a hint of sweet oak spice. The palate presents lush and generous nuances of sweet fruit, juicy cherries and plums. A balanced and harmonious red wine with a juicy core and softly rounded tannins.

Traildust is a tribute to all those involved in the creation and journey of South Africa's indigenous national grape, Pinotage – a journey from the vineyard to the glass. A homage to the legacy of this unique South African grape variety, which is united with its heritage, Pinot Noir and Cinsaut, in this special Cape Blend. A cuvée of 33% Pinotage, 33% Pinot Noir and 33% Cinsault, the age of the three different vineyards is 31 years for Cinsaut, 25 years for Pinotage and 15 years for Pinot Noir.

Treatment in the cellar The grapes were handpicked at optimal ripeness. Fermented in open tanks, the must was left on the skins for 4–6 days at an average temperature of 26 °C to ensure excellent extraction of color and aroma.
