Feline Office Adventures: Love and Laughter with Lumpi

Our Furry Office Assistant, Lumpi

You may remember our office cat, Lumpi, officially the office assistant during winter and a passionate outdoor explorer in summer. Back in 2019, he became the talk of our newsletters after bravely rolling under a moving car, resulting in a two-day clinic stay and a return with strict instructions: "Avoid streets in the future!" Since then, aside from an incident with oil, his life has been calmer, filled with the typical little troubles of an office cat's life: occasional neighborhood disputes, dental surgery, all treatable.

Now Lumpi is around 15, taking things a bit slower, and can often be found dozing off. With his nearing retirement, we have decided not to discipline him further.

In Love, a Bit Crazy, and Overwhelmed

However, a few weeks ago, we initially thought an injured cat was wailing in our garden – the racket sent shivers down our spines! Our fluffy employee, however, sat calmly by, looking at us as if to say, "What’s all the fuss about?"

It turns out our aging Lumpi has stolen the heart of a young lady. A novice beauty who now only has one desire: to have a kitten from the old gentleman. The twist? Lumpi decided long ago to remain a childless uncle, having undergone a little, permanent procedure. He doesn’t quite understand what’s happening, and evidently can’t explain it to the amorous dame.

Thus, we’ve had a concert in the garden day and night, learning about new levels of feminine endurance when a lady has her mind set on something…

Luckily, the frequency has lessened, and her affections seem to be becoming rather platonic. Nevertheless, she regularly sits at our door. Has Lumpi unwittingly gotten involved with a homeless lady? As employers, this makes us a tad nervous, as we can’t possibly offer another position for a staff member seeking full pension. We are curious to see how this story unfolds...
