Introducing the Boschendal Suzanne, a sophisticated white blend that pays tribute to Suzanne de Lanoy, the wife of Boschendal's Huguenot founder, Nicolas de Lanoy, and the estate's original matriarch. This cuvée, composed of 56% Semillon and 44% Sauvignon Blanc, showcases a straw-yellow hue with a shimmering green edge. Delightful aromas of white nectarine, lime, and green fig preserve are layered with elegant oak nuances. A subtle touch of rocky minerality adds intriguing complexity to the palate. This compelling composition reflects the enchanting elegance characteristic of Boschendal!
The grapes are cold stored and fermented in 500-liter oak barrels. After fermentation, they undergo an 11-month aging in primarily 500-liter French oak barrels, adding depth and enhancing mouthfeel. The winemaking team conducts tastings and blends prior to bottling to ensure perfect harmony in the final composition.
