Information about "Buitenverwachting Christine 2018"

This Bordeaux-style blend showcases stunning aromas of ripe cherries, black currants, aromatic tobacco, and dark chocolate. On the palate, it reveals a seamless harmony with a velvety fruit density and refined tannin structure, making Buitenverwachting Christine one of South Africa's most sought-after red wines.

This blend is predominantly shaped by Cabernet Sauvignon (71%), with Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot contributing additional depth, structure, and complexity.

With a rich history, a prestigious estate, and a wine that lives up to its name: Buitenverwachting – truly beyond expectations.

Treatment in the cellar Harvested mainly in mid-March, the must undergoes a long maceration period of about 28 days, enhancing color and tannin richness. Fermented under controlled conditions, the wine ages generously in new French oak barrels for approximately 30 months, gaining structure, depth, and harmoniously integrated wood notes.
