The Buitenverwachting Hussey's Vlei Sauvignon Blanc enchants the eye with its delicate lemon-yellow hue. On the nose, it reveals a classic bouquet of tropical fruits intermingled with fragrant herbal notes. This dry and full-bodied wine culminates in a long, pleasant finish, showcasing a true expression of its terroir. Sourced from the coolest and most southerly vineyard of Buitenverwachting, known as Hussey's Vlei, it offers a distinctively 'green' profile marked by green bell pepper, herbal nuances, and intense flavor.
The grapes were partially pressed whole and underwent 12 hours of skin contact. The juice then fermented for 21 days with five different yeast types at a controlled temperature of 12°-16°C.
