The Cape Point Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is a remarkably elegant red wine that embodies the essence of the Cape Winelands. Offering a bouquet of luscious dark fruits, cedar, vanilla, and a hint of chocolate, this wine seduces the senses with its long, delicious finish. The grapes were handpicked from select parcels in Cape Town. These small, concentrated berries resulted in a wine with structure, elegance, and refined concentration. Carefully destemmed, they were placed in open fermentation vessels for cold soaking. The wine underwent spontaneous fermentation with three manual punch-downs per day. After pressing, malolactic fermentation occurred in tanks. The two varietals aged patiently for twelve months in oak barrels, yielding a soft, balanced wine.
