The Constantia Glen Two presents itself in a seductive pale gold adorned with a subtle hint of fresh lime green. It releases elegant herbal aromas, inviting notes of lime, green fig, and floral nuances alongside delicate oak hints. Following these initial scents, a complex spectrum of fresh tropical fruit captivates the senses. Its refined weight, derived from Sémillon, is beautifully balanced by a naturally fresh acidity and remarkably clear fruit. This wine showcases a dynamic intensity and superb fruit concentration. The rich, opulent character combined with a well-textured mouthfeel ensures that this white wine blend, composed of 64% Sauvignon Blanc and 36% Sémillon, leaves nothing to be desired. Its finesse and elegant balance are truly impressive.
The grapes for this Bordeaux-style white blend were handpicked from the finest vineyard sites, whole-cluster pressed, and fermented in 600-liter barrels. After fermentation, the wine matured on lees for seven months in 600-liter French oak barrels, with 17% new oak. The remainder of the barrels were previously used one to seven times. The careful selection of the best barrels resulted in a wine of incredible fruit concentration with only subtle oak influences.
