The David & Nadia Chenin Blanc 2024 is an exceptional representation of Swartland Chenin, crafted from vines aged between 37 to 56 years. This wine tantalizes the palate with vibrant freshness, superb balance, and striking structure. Aromas of straw mingle with well-defined notes of yellow plums, caramelized pears, peach skin, and a hint of wax. On the palate, it is harmoniously integrated, showcasing a lively acidity complemented by fine minerality. A masterfully handcrafted and authentic expression of Swartland terroir, the 2024 vintage is meticulously blended from eight vineyards after a careful selection of 16 harvests, aged in both concrete and older barrels!

Treatment in the cellar

This wine reflects the essence of Swartland, its people, and ancient vineyards. Whole bunches were pressed, naturally fermented, and aged for 11 months in neutral French oak barrels. Two components were fermented and aged in concrete (totaling 9% concrete) – one in a square concrete tank and another in a concrete egg. The wine bears the ‘Certified Heritage Vineyards’ (CHV) seal and is part of the ‘Old Vine Project’ (OVP).
