The David & Nadia Chenin Blanc 2024 is an exceptional representation of Swartland Chenin, crafted from vines aged between 37 to 56 years. This wine tantalizes the palate with vibrant freshness, superb balance, and striking structure. Aromas of straw mingle with well-defined notes of yellow plums, caramelized pears, peach skin, and a hint of wax. On the palate, it is harmoniously integrated, showcasing a lively acidity complemented by fine minerality. A masterfully handcrafted and authentic expression of Swartland terroir, the 2024 vintage is meticulously blended from eight vineyards after a careful selection of 16 harvests, aged in both concrete and older barrels!
Dieser Wein spiegelt das Swartland, seine Menschen und seine alten Weinberge wider. Die Trauben wurden als ganze Trauben gepresst, natürlich vergoren und anschließend 11 Monate lang in alten neutralen französischen Eichenfässern gereift. Zwei Komponenten wurden in Betonbehältern vergoren und gereift (insgesamt 9 % Beton) – eine in einem quadratischen Betontank und die andere in einem Betonei. Der Wein trägt das Siegel „Certified Heritage Vineyards” (CHV) und ist Teil des „Old Vine Project” (OVP).
