With a deep ruby hue, the De Krans Tinta Roriz captivates the eye and entices the nose with its layered aromas of red fruits and subtle spices. The bouquet reveals earthy undertones, highlighted by notes of roasted coriander, vanilla, and cassis. Planted in 2008 in the Klein Karoo, these vines thrive on arid, rocky soils that drain towards the Gamka River, akin to the famed Douro Valley. All vines are trellised and irrigated with precision, ensuring optimal growth.
Die Trauben werden per Hand geerntet, sofort abgekühlt und mit einer ausgewählten Hefe geimpft um die Gärung anzuregen. Danach werden die Trauben erst gepresst und die malolaktische Fermentation beginnt. Der Wein wird in ältere Fässer abgefüllt, sechst- und siebtbefüllte französische Eichenfässer, wo er dann 12 Monate ruht und reift!
