The De Krans Touriga Nacional 2023 captivates with a deep plum hue, unveiling rich and intense aromas of dark berries intertwined with fragrant violets and cacao. Hints of sweet dark cherries, plums, white pepper, and roasted oak add complexity. On the palate, it is exceptionally full-bodied, showcasing a well-balanced, intricate flavor profile of black currants, dried plums, a touch of cherry cigar, violets, and dark chocolate in the finish. Its soft tannin structure combined with its concentrated fruit suggests remarkable aging potential and exquisite enjoyment.
Das Traubengut wurde entrappt, gequetscht und umgehend in offenen Fermentern runtergekühlt. Ausgewählte Hefen wurden zugesetzt, um die Fermentierung in Gang zu bringen, woraufhin die Haut ausgepresst wurde. Nach Abschluss der alkoholischen Gärung fand die malolaktische Fermentierung statt. Abschließend reifte der Wein 12 Monate lang in viert- sowie fünftbefüllten Fässern aus französischer Eiche.
