The Rupert & Rothschild Classique enchants with its inviting bouquet of dark cherries and fragrant graphite notes, enhanced by subtle earthy undertones. This classic Bordeaux-style cuvée offers a velvety texture, revealing initial aromas of crushed red berries and cherry tobacco, seasoned with oak spices. These evolve into generous layers of black cherries that culminate in a lingering, smooth finish. Decanting before enjoyment is recommended to fully appreciate its complexity.
The grapes for the Rupert & Rothschild Classique are handpicked with utmost care, ensuring only the finest are selected for production. Alcoholic fermentation and malolactic conversion take place in stainless steel tanks with extended skin contact. Following fermentation, the wine matures for 16 months in 225-litre French oak barrels.
