Displaying a medium to deep ruby hue, the Spier First Stone Organic Red Blend envelops the nose with an alluring bouquet of dark cherries and fragrant cassis, nuanced by a gentle hint of fennel and delicate spices. On the palate, it unfolds with richness, complexity, and balance, concluding with an exceptionally refined and soft finish that lingers impressively.
Das Traubengut wurde bei optimaler Reife handgelesen, mit großer Sorgfalt per Hand für den weiteren Produktionsverlauf ausgelesen und anschließend in Edelstahltanks gequetscht. Für die Gärung wurden teilweise kommerzielle Hefen sowie teils natürliche, in der Umgebung und auf der Frucht vorkommende wilde Hefen, verwendet. Nach 26 Tagen Fermentierung wurde der freiablaufende Saft in französische Eichenholzfässer gelassen (55% Neuholz, 45% zweitbelegt), wo die Weine 24 Monate reiften, bevor sie verschnitten und auf die Flasche gefüllt wurden.

unterschätzt
Diesen Wein habe ich völlig unterschätzt und finde ihn deshalb umwerfend. Schöne Farbe, trocken und weich / rund, tolle Nase, extrem gefällig im Geschmack, ein Gaumenschmeichler.
