The Driehoek Syrah enchants with an aromatic bouquet of ripe red cherries, plum, fresh rhubarb, and dark chocolate. On the palate, delightful nuances of fine spices and wild herbs intertwine with well-integrated notes of French oak. Its soft, ripe tannins create a luxurious mouthfeel, embodying a Syrah of unmistakable elegance.
Following a seven-day fermentation and 14 days of skin contact, malolactic fermentation concluded in new French barrels. The wine aged for 15 months in French barriques, with 31% new wood and the remainder in previously used barrels.
