The Eikendal Sauvignon Blanc captivates the senses with crystalline aromas of tropical fruits, complemented by herbal undertones. On the palate, it reveals a harmonious blend of pineapple and stone fruit, crowned with a refreshing finish featuring apple, passion fruit, and white peach. Its full-bodied mouthfeel, combined with a refined minerality and lively yet subtle acidity, leads to a long-lasting, crisp aftertaste, making it a standout expression of this varietal.

Treatment in the cellar

The grapes for this Sauvignon Blanc hail from Elgin, perched at 350m above sea level, ideal for crafting premium Sauvignon Blanc. They were crushed and gently pressed, separating the free-run juice from that derived from further pressing. Eighty percent of the juice underwent fermentation in stainless steel tanks with carefully selected yeasts for two to three months, while the remainder fermented in second- and third-fill barrels for added roundness, depth, and structure.
