The Flagstone Dragon Tree Cape Blend is a hallmark creation from Flagstone, showcasing a consistently refined tannin structure and abundant fruit that reflects its French influence. This warm, dark red wine unfolds an impressive complexity on the nose with aromas of ripe plums and mulberries, complemented by earthy undertones, chocolate, and mint. The palate mirrors this elegant harmony with sweet, spicy vanilla notes, remarkable depth, a true explosion of fruit, and a crisp acidity structure. This complex blend consists of 40% Pinotage, 38% Shiraz, and 22% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Nach Abschluss der Fermentierung reiften die nach Rebsorten separat gekelterten Weine 16-18 Monate lang zu 82 % in amerikanischen sowie zu 18 % in französischen Eichenfässern und wurden anschließend mit großer Sorgfalt verschnitten und auf die Flasche gefüllt.
Bei der Herstellung dieses Weins werden keine tierischen Produkte verwendet, sondern stattdessen pflanzliche Proteine. Interessanterweise behält er seinen Status bei, ohne seinen Charakter zu beeinträchtigen, und wird deshalb durch das veganfreundliche Verfahren aufgewertet.
