The Grangehurst Flagship 2012 is a quintessential Bordeaux-style blend, epitomizing the craftsmanship of Grangehurst Winery. Das Traubengut für diese Cuvée wurde handgelesen und bei Ankunft in der Kellerei sortiert, komplett entrappt und zu 50% gequetscht (die anderen 50% verblieben als ganze Beere). Die Fermentierung fand in offenen Fermentern statt, wobei der Tresterhut vier- bis sechsmal täglich untergetaucht wurde. Der Wein verbrachte zwischen 7 und 16 Tage auf der Haut und wurde anschließend in der traditionellen Korbpresse abgepresst und in Tanks aus Edelstahl gepumpt, wo die malolaktische Fermentierung ihren Abschluss fand. Der Wein wurde weder verfeinert noch gefiltert – eine Klärung des Weins fand lediglich durch das Abschöpfen des Weins vom abgesetzten Sediment statt. Der Wein reifte anschließend 35 Monate lang in französischen Barriqes.
