The Groot Constantia Gouverneurs Reserve White 2023 is a remarkable blend from South Africa, boasting an elegant balance of 40% Semillon and 60% Sauvignon Blanc. This artisanal wine presents a vivid bouquet of fresh elderflower intertwined with luscious notes of ripe lychee and passion fruit, accented by a hint of orange zest, lemon, and lime. On the palate, it reveals inviting stone fruit flavors wreathed in subtle spice from French oak, complemented by a whisper of honey and almond. Its well-integrated acidity delivers a refreshing and clean finish, culminating in a lingering and masterful aftertaste.
Das Traubengut wurde handgelesen und separat in einer Kombination aus 50% neuen Fässern, 25% zweit- sowie 25% dritt- und vierbefüllten Fässern aus französischer Eiche fermentiert. Nach Abschluss der alkoholischen Gärung reifte der Wein zehn Monate auf der Hefe, bevor er verschniiten und abgefüllt wurde. Vor Herausgabe reifte dieser erstklassige Tropfen noch weitere 12 Monate in der Flasche.
