The Groot Constantia Merlot captivates with its alluring aromas of ripe plums and black cherries, accented by a delightful hint of blackcurrant and subtle vanilla oak notes. On the palate, this opulent red wine offers a remarkably ripe experience, featuring intense flavors of dark fruits, chocolate, and nuanced French oak, all framed by velvety tannins and a refreshing acidity.
Dieser Merlot fermentierte in Edelstahltanks und wurde in der ersten Hälfte des Fermentierungsprozesses alle vier Stunden umgewälzt, um ein Maximum an Farbe und Komplexität in den Wein zu übertragen. Nach Abschluss der Fermentierung reifte der Wein 15 Monate lang in 225 l Fässern aus französischer Eiche, von denen 61% Neuholz, 10% zweit- und 29% drittbefülltes Holz ausmachten.
