The Holden Manz Reserve Semillon 2022 captivates with its delicate lemon-yellow hue and vibrant lime-green reflections. The bouquet is enticingly complex, revealing notes of lemon zest, stony minerality, apricot, and a hint of coriander. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, delighting with luscious mango nuances, complemented by a crisp acidity, a lasting finish, and a beautifully balanced touch of oak.
This limited production wine consists of only 1,087 bottles, sourced from 25-year-old vines at the Holden Manz estate.
The grapes were hand-harvested in the early morning and cooled to 5°C upon arrival at the cellar. They were pressed whole bunch, and after settling, 25% of the juice was naturally fermented in a combination of first and second-fill oak barrels. The remaining 75% was vinified in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures of 14°C. Before bottling, the wine spent eight months on fine lees.
