The Idiom Semillon is a remarkable wine exhibiting a medium to full-bodied character, presenting a stunning example of barrel-aged Semillon. The nose enchants with a delicate potpourri bouquet, showcasing alluring aromas of perfumed prickly pear, lime zest, and hints of vanilla spice. On the opulent and creamy palate, it reveals rich nuances of cardamom biscuit and oak, resulting in a well-structured wine with beautiful weight.
Grapes for the Idiom Semillon were harvested in the early morning and immediately transported to a temperature-controlled winery for overnight storage. The next morning, the grapes were sorted in whole bunches before being destemmed, with each berry carefully selected. The berries were then pressed, and the resulting juice underwent a three-day resting period. The clear juice was fermented 100% in barrel with selected yeast cultures and aged for an additional six months in barrels before being lightly filtered and bottled.
