Crafted from Mourvèdre grown on the steep, north-facing slopes of the Helderberg, this barrel-fermented rosé reflects the intensity of its low-yielding vines. Its delicate, pale pink shade recalls onion skin, while the nose brims with vibrant scents of strawberry, lychee, pear, and watermelon, lifted by a gentle herbal nuance. On the palate, the Keermont 4 Barrels Rosé is supple and layered, balanced by crisp acidity and a subtle mineral backbone. Exotic tropical and stone fruit notes weave together with soft vanilla hints, leading to a refined, lingering finish. Best enjoyed now, though it has the structure to age gracefully for at least five years.
Harvested early for freshness, the grapes spent an hour on skins for optimal color extraction. Fermented in seasoned French oak barrels, aged for six months before bottling. A total of 1,100 bottles and 50 magnums produced.
