The Keermont Steepside Syrah captivates with its vibrant strawberry-red hue, inviting the senses to explore its spicy and floral bouquet. Aromas of ripe strawberries, black plums, and delicate hints of cloves weave seamlessly together. On the palate, this striking Syrah reveals a full-bodied richness, elegantly showcasing ripe spicy fruit notes. Grown at an elevation of 300 meters on fertile red clay soils rich in iron and quartz, the Steepside Syrah vineyards benefit from intense sun exposure. This unique terroir delivers boldly structured wines with a splendidly herbal and peppery aromatic profile.
The hand-picked grapes for this masterful Syrah come exclusively from Keermont's own vineyards, vinified separately by block and ripeness. The fermentation process occurred naturally and gently in open fermenters. After fermentation, the wine aged for 20 months in French barriques (500 l) and was bottled by hand, unfiltered.
