Information about "Ken Forrester Three Halves 2021"
The Ken Forrester Three Halves is an exceptional Rhône-style blend crafted from the classic varieties Mourvèdre, Grenache, and Shiraz. Mourvèdre takes center stage, imparting a captivating earthiness to the wine, while the smaller portion of Grenache adds vibrant fruitiness, and Shiraz contributes warm, spicy undertones. Ken Forrester Wines is renowned for a meticulous selection of unique and remarkable blends, with Ken himself focused on Mediterranean-style creations from the finest grapes of the Cape. Here, the blend of the 'three halves' transcends the sum of its parts.
The grapes for the Ken Forrester Three Halves were hand-picked with utmost care, selecting only the ripest berries. Upon arrival at the cellar, the fruit underwent a cold soak phase. The wine matured for 18 months in second-fill French oak barrels.
