The Landskroon Paul de Villiers Reserve embodies the pinnacle of the estate's offerings, showcasing a refined Bordeaux-style blend. Its alluring bouquet reveals sumptuous notes of cassis, ripe red berry, fine granite, and elegantly intertwined cedar wood. On the palate, this distinguished wine delivers remarkable complexity, featuring delightful nuances of dark fruits and fragrant oak. Crafted by five generations of dedicated vintners, Landskroon proudly holds its place as a leading wine brand in Paarl. Current cellarmaster Paul de Villiers, the family's fifth-generation steward, continues this illustrious legacy.
Das Traubengut für diesen erstklassigen Wein wurde bei optimalem Reifegrad handgelesen und bei Ankunft in der Kellerei nach Rebsorte separat vinifiziert. Während der Gärungsphase in offenen Tanks aus Edelstahl wurde der Tresterhut regelmäßig untergetaucht, um einen intensiven Farbton und Tannin zu extrahieren. Nach Abschluss der Gärung reiften die Weine 18 Monate lang separat in neuen sowie zweitbelegten französischen Barriques und wurden anschließend verschnitten und auf die Flasche gefüllt.
Dieser Reserve besteht aus 40 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 35 % Merlot, 10 % Malbec, 10 % Cabernet Franc, 5 % Petit Verdot.
