The Lanzerac Pinotage Rosé captures the essence of Stellenbosch with its delicate bouquet of aromatic rose petals, ripe red currants, and crushed strawberries. This enchanting rosé showcases a beautiful pale hue, achieved through a brief 2 to 3-hour skin contact with the Pinotage grapes. Its off-dry nature and vibrant fruit profile make it an ideal companion for leisurely summer evenings, inviting you to sip and savor its charm endlessly.
The grapes for the 2022 vintage were handpicked at 21–22° Balling. After destemming and crushing, color extraction lasted 2-3 hours. The must rested at 13–14°C for 48 hours before being racked off the yeast and inoculated with a specific commercial yeast strain. Fermentation occurred under temperature control at around 14°C, completing in approximately ten days.
