Information about "Leeu Passant Cinsault Wellington 2023"
The Leeu Passant Cinsault Wellington captivates with its radiant hue and an aromatic bouquet of dark raspberries and ripe cherries, accented by hints of thyme and a focused touch of pomegranate. On the palate, it showcases fine, silky tannins and a remarkably long, satisfying finish.
The name 'Leeu Passant,' meaning 'passing lion,' is derived from heraldry, symbolized on the capsule. Chris and Andrea Mullineux meticulously source the finest vineyards for these wines, crafted at the Leeu Passant base on the Leeu Estates. This exquisite Cinsault Vintage originates from the oldest recorded red wine vineyard in the country.
The grapes were handpicked in the early morning and transported to the cellar, where whole berries underwent spontaneous fermentation. Following three weeks of maceration, the wine aged for 20 months in 500-liter French oak barrels.
