The Leeuwenkuil Reserve Chenin Blanc 2024 stands as a remarkable testament to the terroir of Swartland, showcasing a meticulously crafted blend from three distinct Chenin Blanc parcels. This exquisite selection comprises only the finest barrels of the vintage, resulting in a wine that delights the senses. Its aromatic profile captivates with subtle notes of citrus blossoms, quince, and yellow apple, leading to a full-bodied palate rich in stone fruit, underpinned by a nuanced, slightly core-like character. The finish reveals a refreshing mineral backbone, promising elegance and depth with each sip.
Das handgelesene Traubengut wurde am ganzen Bund gepresst, um den natürlichen Säuregehalt soweit wie möglich zu bewahren. Die Hälfte des dabei gewonnenen Safts wurde in französischen Eichenfässern mit einer Füllmenge von 5000 L pro Fass fermentiert, während die anderen 50% in Tanks aus Edelstahl ausgebaut wurden. Nach Abschluss der Gärung reifte der Wein neun Monate lang in französischer Eiche, bevor er verschnitten und zum fertigen Genuss auf die Flasche gefüllt wurde.
