Longridge Organic Ou Steen Chenin Blanc 2024 is a beautifully crafted wine from the renowned Stellenbosch region, inspired by the prestigious Vouvray Demi-Sec wines of the Loire Valley. This organic Chenin Blanc presents an enticing bouquet of marmalade, orange blossoms, and ripe apricots, seamlessly blending with zesty lime and a hint of honeycomb. On the palate, a vibrant acidity balances the sweetness, leading to a lingering finish enriched by notes of candied orange peel, grapefruit, and a touch of vanilla pod. Crafted exclusively in exceptional vintages, this wine exemplifies the unique terroir that defines its character and age-ability.
Der Wein wird aus ganzen Trauben gekeltert und mit wilder Hefe in gereiften französischen Puncheons (300L Fässer) vergoren. In diesen Fässern wird er zehn bis 12 Monate lang gelagert. Im Einklang mit dem ultra-natürlichen und terroir-orientierten Ansatz wurde der Wein ohne Enzyme und ohne Schönung hergestellt und ungefiltert abgefüllt. Obwohl der Wein jetzt schon gut trinkbar ist, wird eine weitere Lagerung im Keller empfohlen, da sich der Wein mit der Reifung noch weitere zehn Jahre verbessern wird.
