Meerlust Rubicon presents a deep violet hue, alluring the senses with its captivating bouquet of violets, ripe black plums, and blackberries. Notes of cassis mingle with hints of cedarwood, an enticing bouquet garni, and a hint of potpourri spices. On the palate, this wine is youthful yet intense, boasting a full-bodied character with fresh dark fruit and rounded tannins. Seamlessly integrated oak adds complexity, complemented by a vibrant acidity.

Die separat vinifizierten Weine reiften acht Monate lang zu 60% in neuer Nevers-Eiche und zu 40% in zweitbefüllten Fässern. Die endgültige Cuvée ist kennzeichnend für den Jahrgang, jede Rebsorte verleiht durch ihre ganz individuelle Lage und Terroir das besondere Geschmacksprofil und Jahrgang 2022 bringt dieses hervorragend zum Ausdruck. Anschließend wurden alle Weine verschnitten und reiften als Cuvée weitere zehn Monate im Fass, bevor er in Flaschen abgefüllt wurde.
