Information about "Mother Rock Paying the School Fees 2023"
The inaugural white wine from the burgeoning Platteklip and Piket-Bo-Berg regions, crafted in remarkably small quantities. This natural wine is rooted in organic cultivation principles. Johan Meyer adopts a minimalist approach in the cellar, often forgoing sulfur entirely to showcase the vineyard's intrinsic quality. Expect an enticing bouquet of hay, indigenous Fynbos flowers, citrus notes of orange, and refreshing melon, accompanied by hints of salty dough and waxy honey. The Mother Rock Paying the School Fees elegantly envelops the palate with luscious peach and citrus fruits, balancing a pleasant texture with a refreshing acidity.
This cuvée blends 39% Sauvignon Blanc, 23% Chardonnay, 23% Grenache Blanc, and 15% Chenin, resulting in a golden hue after 22 months of skin contact. The Platteklip vineyards, situated at 650 meters above sea level, rise to 785 meters, just 35 kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean.
