The Mulderbosch Chardonnay 2023 showcases a classic golden hue punctuated by fresh green reflections. It offers an inviting bouquet of Granny Smith apples, with nuances of lemon zest, subtle vanilla pods, and caramel. Hints of fresh winter melon, ripe peaches, apricots, and pear add complexity to the aromatic profile. The palate is concentrated, mineral-driven, and precise, a result of nearly a year spent on the lees. This wine exemplifies the mastery of winemaking, elegantly balancing the inherent volume of a premier Chardonnay with a well-executed oak influence.

Treatment in the cellar 50% of the grapes fermented in French oak barrels (50% new wood), while the remaining portion was aged in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation was complete, the wine was racked off the lees and matured separately in steel and oak for six months before the components were blended and transferred to larger 1,500-litre barrels, where the wine matured for a further six months before bottling.
