The Mullineux Kloof Street Swartland Rouge is a captivating blend reminiscent of the Southern Rhône. It exudes enticing aromas of rose petals, violets, and dark berry fruits, complemented by a hint of black pepper. On the palate, it reveals a medium body enhanced by approachable tannins and a refreshingly vibrant finish. Composed of 57% Syrah, along with Grenache Noir, Tinta Barocca, and Cinsault, this wine is ideal for immediate enjoyment while possessing notable aging potential. Each varietal contributes depth – the Cinsault adds bouquet, Tinta Barocca lends structure, Grenache delivers fruity character, and Syrah harmonizes the blend.
Das Traubengut wurde per Hand gelesen und bei Ankunft in der Kellerei gekühlt, entrappt und gequetscht. Die spontane Fermentierung begann nach etwa vier Tagen und dauerte vier bis sechs Wochen bei Temperaturen von max. 28 C. Nach Abschluss der Gärung reifte der Wein 11 Monate lang in französischer Eiche und ruhte nach Verschnitt der verschiedenen Rebsorten noch weitere 12 Monate im Stahltank, bevor der Wein auf die Flasche gefüllt wurde.
