A direct descendant of Martin Melck, who purchased this esteemed estate in 1763 for his daughter, Ronnie Melck fulfilled his long-held dream by acquiring the Muratie vineyard in 1987. This marked a heartfelt return of the family to the estate after decades. With his legendary style, genuine personality, and innate talent for winemaking, Ronnie Melck has established a remarkable legacy, being the first owner in the family history to rest under the trees on the highest hill at Muratie. The Ronnie Melck Shiraz, with its intense ruby hue, sweet spiciness, and floral and berry notes, is a tribute to this legendary winemaker - grounded, honorable, and full of integrity.
Die Trauben für diesen wundervollen Shiraz wurden bei optimaler Reife per Hand gelesen, leicht angequetscht und entrappt. Der Wein wurde nach traditionellem Verfahren in offenen Gärbehältern fermentiert und reifte anschließend 16 Monate lang zu 100% in Fässern aus französischer Eiche.
