Naudé Soutbos is an exceptionally elegant and complex white wine blend, featuring Chenin Blanc and Colombard from the picturesque West Coast of South Africa. On the nose, fine notes of citrus, melon, and guava are gracefully intertwined with hints of green herbs, creating a harmonious integration of its components. The palate reveals ripe yet balanced fruit profiles of melon, pineapple, and a touch of guava, accompanied by savory green herbs. A dry minerality counterbalances truffle aromas with delightful oceanic notes and a subtle salinity. The finish is seamless and elegant, leaving you desiring more.
Treatment in the cellar
The harvested grapes were transported in small bins to the winery, where they were immediately pressed whole. Natural fermentation commenced after approximately three days. The wine was then left on its lees for as long as possible to reveal its complexity and texture. With nature doing much of the work, the winemaking process is kept as natural as possible, with minimal intervention in the vinification processes.
